Hello Members!
My name is Andrew Irizarry. I would like to introduce myself to all new members and say, “Welcome to the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA).” I have been a member since 1992. I am so glad that we are all involved in AMTA. I feel I have many friends in AMTA who are working together to help our friends and family relieve the stress they experience in everyday living. To new members, I would like to share with you a little about myself. I was born in Manhattan, raised in the Bronx, New York City, and have been living in Florida for 30 years now. Although I live with hearing and visual impairments, I am a very ambitious person with a variety of skills and talents and many creative ideas. At the present time, I am a certified licensed massage therapist (C.L.M.T.), which I have been doing since 1992. I chose to be a C.L.M.T. because I enjoy helping people and I have great hands to relieve their stress. That’s why I call my hands a ‘Miracle Touch.’ During the past years I have also trained in hydrotherapy, aromatherapy, sports massage, bodywork therapy, reflexology, and as a spa specialist. In the early part of 2011, I learned a new Bamboo Fusion Massage Technique. Believe it or not, it’s a lot of fun to learn different massage techniques in order to have a happy healthy life – and help others accomplish that, too!
